  • WHAT IS ACNE?


 Chronic inflammatory skin condition that causes spots, pimples, especially on face, back, shoulder, neck, chest and upper arms.
  • UNDERSTANDING ACNE...


 There is Sebaceous glands beneath our skin and it secretes an oily or waxy matter called sebum that helps lubricate and waterproof the skin and hairs of mammals.
The combination of sebaceous glands and hair follicles is the 'pilosebaceous unit' where acne, pimples and cysts develop.

  • BUT, why it doesn't affect everyone??

The reason behind is..
It can be hereditary, allergic, as post or pre menstrual symptom, menopausal symptom, because of hormonal disturbances, dietary patterns which includes more oily, spicy food and like, patients with constipation, stress, fear, modern medicines like Testosterone steroids, etc.
Also, the more you touch, or scrub acne, the more it develops..
Moreover, constantly living in humid atmosphere, or areas with high temperature range can also give you acne..


  • TYPES:

  1.  ACNE ROSACEA: 

Causing redness and often small, red, pus-filled bumps. Usually occurs in age group of 14 to 20 years.

    2. ACNE SIMPLEX:

Usually seen in age group beyond 20 years of age and more commonly seen in males. Symptoms range from uninflamed blackheads to pus-filled pimples. or large red and tender bumps.

  3. ACNE NODULARIS:
Severe form of acne causing large, inflamed and painful breakouts.

  • TREATING ACNE...


Wash your face daily, keep hair clean and refrain from harsh scrubbing.

  • HOMEOPATHY IN ACNE:-

PULSATILLA: In cases of irregular menses and acne, post or pre menstrual time, it can be useful.
KALI BROM : Acne during youth especially on face, back and shoulder, reddish or pinkish in color with blackheads often present.
GRAPHITES: In cases of associated constipation, irregular menses and feeling of cobweb on face.
NUX VOMICA: Indicated in individuals taking oily, spicy food and having constipation along with acne.
SULPHUR: In cases of acne associated with allergic conditions.
HEPAR SULPH : In cases of large acne filled with pus having offensive discharge.

Over and above, also Belladonna, Berberis, Aquafolium, Kali mur, Radium Brom, Kali Sulph, Tuberculinum and Thuja are the other remedies when taken according to symptoms cures acne..
